WHAT TO EXPECT ON HEADSHOT DAY

  1. IF UNSURE WHERE TO GO, CHECK IN AT RECEPTIONIST DESK: A staff member will direct you to where the photo session is set up. Please note your appointment time. I am usually set up in the conference room at the LMC Office 19200 SW Teton Ave. Tualatin, OR 97062.

  2. DO A SELF CHECK IN THE MIRROR: This is a good time to double check hair and attire before stepping in front of the camera in the restroom. *** If you need LMC gear for your photos, please arrive early and make arrangements with Marketing Manager Sarah Lamb, d: 503.316.3362 e: SarahL@lmcconstruction.com

  3. YOUR SESSION WILL BE ABOUT 5-20 MINUTES. Your photographer Marjorie will guide your posing and expression. You’ll take a series of shots - you don’t need to know how to pose.

  4. YOU’RE DONE! Images are chosen by HR/Marketing within a few business days and uploaded to the website. That’s it! You don’t need to do anything else. Your headshot will be emailed to you. Use your updated headshot for your Linked In, Zoom, and more!

Field Staff

Please wear your LMC polo. Pair it with the same color undershirt or wear it on its own - either works great.

Male Office Staff

Suit jacket + dress shirt is the ideal look. No tie required, but it elevates the photo nicely.

Solid colors photograph best - navy, charcoal, and deep gray are excellent choices.

Female Office Staff

A modest v-neck or scoop neck creates the most flattering neckline. Long sleeves photography beautifully.

Blazers, structured tops, and solid-color blouses all work wonderfully.

If makeup guidance is needed, wear makeup as if you are going out for a fancier evening out, rather than day makeup and opt for matte (not shiny) options.

HAIR , GROOMING & MAKEUP

  • FOR EVERYONE

❑ Get a fresh haircut 1-2 weeks prior

❑ Style hair as you would for a client meeting

❑ Avoid heavy product that looks stiff or wet

❑ Moisturize skin the night before

  • FOR MEN

❑ Trim or shave facial hair the day before

    ❑ Tidy eyebrows if needed

❑ Use transluscent powder or blotting sheets to reduce shine

  • FOR WOMEN

❑ Matte foundation reduces flash glare

❑ Avoid overly bold lip colors in ultra-bright shades

  • EYES AND GLASSES

❑ Glasses often create lens glare under studio lights

❑ I recommend removing them for your shots

❑ If you must have them on, I will do the best I can

QUICK ANSWERS

Do I need to smile?

1

A relaxed, confident expression photographed best. A slight smile reads warmly and professionally - think about how you’d look greeting a client for the first time. The photographer will guide you.

What if I’m not photogenic?

2

Everyone says this - and everyone ends up with a great shot. The photographer’s job is to make you look your best. Trust the process, follow the direction you’re given, and you’ll be surprised at the results.

When will I see my photos?

3

Edited images are typically delivered to Marketing Department 3 weeks of your session. They’ll be uploaded to the website and made available to marketing for proposals and other company materials. Marketing will typically email you a copy of your headshot.
